Emergency Paediatric First Aid covers just 9 areas of content. This course is suitable for nannies, parents/grandparents or those within Early Years who are working as part of a team with other staff who hold a Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Under the Ofsted guidelines a nursery is required to carry out a risk assessment and ensure that an adequate number of staff are First Aid trained.
This course is suitable for EPA (End Point Assessment) for the Early Years Educator and EYFS requirements. For further information about sector guidance, please refer to our FAQs.
Childminders or those working alone on the Compulsory Ofsted Register must take the Full Paediatric First Aid Course.
